Four screens that tell the story

The chalk dust
The finishing touch is the one you almost don't notice. The dark hero's chalk handprint drifts with a few hundred dust motes - hand-written WebGL, raw shaders, no libraries - that scatter away from your cursor like chalk off a lifter's hands. It's desktop-only, it loads after the page has painted, and it costs the store's performance and accessibility scores nothing.

That discipline - the effect earns its place or it doesn't ship - is the same rule behind the Illuminations scene on our own homepage. Same technique, two volumes: a quiet detail on a client's store, the full switch-on on our shop window. If you've seen our hero light up, this is where that restraint comes from.
Measured, not claimed
During the build we cut the mobile main-content render time from 35.8 seconds on the old imagery pipeline to 5.0 seconds - WebP images, responsive banners, and a hard rule that nothing blocks the first paint. Measured live on Google's own PageSpeed infrastructure (13 Aug 2026), mobile performance scores: product finder 99, shop 97, homepage 91, and 81 on a product page carrying the full live payment stack - every one of them with 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO, desktop performance of 99–100, and zero layout shift, so the page never jumps under your thumb. Measured the same hard way as the rest of our work - verify it yourself. If your own shop scores nowhere near that, run it through our free website check - it takes a minute and tells you where the seconds go.
The longer story of the build - what we refused to list, the compliance work behind the honest copy, and why the admin ended up with three buttons - is on the blog: Building SportSupplements.uk.
Why this matters if you don't sell supplements
Because every piece of it - the honest pricing, the warnings that put the customer first, the admin built around one person's actual comfort with computers - is just listening, turned into software. Most clients need the £29.99-a-month website. When you need a shop, we build those too, with the same care. See what we build, or tell us about yours.
WooCommerce in Blackpool: the questions we get asked
Do you build WooCommerce websites in Blackpool?
Yes. SportSupplements.uk is a custom WooCommerce theme built pixel-for-pixel from the approved design, with no page builder, by our studio at Blackpool Enterprise Centre on Lytham Road. We've built 250+ websites since 2016 and host 150+ of them on our own UK servers. When a shop needs something WooCommerce doesn't do out of the box - a stripped-back owner dashboard, a product finder, a compliance rule in the basket - that's the sort of thing we handle as a custom build.
How much does a WooCommerce shop cost on the pay-monthly plan?
£99 setup, then £29.99 a month for the website plus £19.99 a month for the online shop add-on - £49.98 a month all-in, with the design, UK hosting, SSL, a .co.uk domain in your name, business email, unlimited content edits and support included. You pay Stripe's card fee on each order and nothing else: no commission on sales, no exit fee, cancel any time with 30 days' notice. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Can someone who struggles with computers run a WooCommerce shop?
Marek would tell you himself that he does, which is why his wp-admin was replaced with three buttons: orders to send, prices and stock, and one switch for the site notice. Day to day, that's all he touches. Everything else - new sections, seasonal changes, a rework of a page - is covered by the plan's unlimited edits, so the shop stays current without anyone having to learn WordPress.
