The local market runs from £3-a-month teaser rates (that double or triple at renewal) to local agencies charging from £150 a year for hosting alone, before the website itself. Ours is priced differently because it's sold differently: hosting is included in the £29.99 a month plan alongside the design, edits, SSL, backups and support. One price, on the website, that doesn't change when the introductory period nobody told you about quietly ends.

Honestly - no. We only host sites we've built or taken over properly, because that's the only way we can promise they stay fast, patched and fixable at 2am. If you just need space for a site someone else looks after, a mainstream host will serve you better than we would, and we'll say so. If you want your existing site hosted by people who'll actually maintain it, we'll move it over properly - migration included, rankings preserved.

Here's the straight answer most hosts bury: our own machines sit in an enterprise OVH datacentre in northern France - one of the largest hosting facilities in Europe - and your visitors are served through a CDN with edge servers across the UK, which is why pages respond in under a tenth of a second from Blackpool. The servers are managed entirely from our studio on Lytham Road. Data protection-wise the UK and EU formally recognise each other's rules (adequacy), so nothing about the geography affects your GDPR position. We could print "UK hosting" like everyone else and hope you never ask; we'd rather you knew, and judged us on the speed.

Nightly, automatically, with fourteen days of history kept - and separately from that, every site we build lives in version control, so the site itself can be rebuilt from source even in the worst case. What we won't do is promise "disaster-proof infinite backups" in a footer; if you ever want to know exactly what's held for your site and how far back, ask and we'll tell you specifically.

We don't publish an uptime guarantee, on purpose - and it's worth knowing why they're theatre: an SLA typically refunds a fraction of your monthly fee for downtime that might have cost you a week of bookings. Pennies for your pounds. What we do instead: run our own servers carefully, keep them boring and un-oversold, and treat "my site is down" as the front of every queue - message us on WhatsApp and the person who can actually fix it reads it. Our own business runs on the same servers as yours, which is the only uptime incentive that has ever really worked.

You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice and no exit fee. Once you've been on the plan 12 months, the website and domain are yours to keep - we hand everything over and point the domain wherever you ask, no hostage fees, no "site release charge". Leave inside the first 12 months and the site and domain stay with us: that's the honest trade of a plan with no big upfront bill, and it's in the terms in plain English rather than buried in clause 14.3. Your own content - text, photos, logo - is yours from day one either way.
