The brief
The Perfume Factory's business was working - a stall at events, a range of designer-inspired fragrances, and a price point that sells itself: every bottle a full 100ml for £5. What it didn't have was anywhere for those customers to go afterwards. Someone smells a scent they love on a Saturday, and by Wednesday there's no way to buy it. The brief was to fix exactly that: take the stall online, keep the pricing dead simple, and make re-ordering as easy as picking the bottle up again.
What we built
A full online shop, not a brochure with a basket bolted on. The whole range - more than forty scents - is browsable and filterable, the "mix 5 for £20" bundle deal is built into how the basket works rather than buried in a terms page, and a two-tap scent finder ("who's it for, what's the mood?") does the guided-selling job the stall does in person.
Because the customers arrive from events, the site speaks to them directly - smelled one on our stall? The whole range lives here - and an events page tells regulars where to find the stall next. The practical trust signals a small online shop lives or dies by are all answered up front: secure card payment, same-day dispatch for orders by 5pm, 14-day returns and free UK delivery over £20.
A shop built around the deal
Every bottle a full 100ml for £5, mix any five for £20 - the site leads with the offer and the bundle builder makes claiming it effortless.
Find your scent in two taps
Who’s it for, what’s the mood - a two-tap finder matches shoppers to the range, doing the job the stall-holder does in person.
From stall to checkout
"Smelled one on our stall? The whole range lives here." The site is built to convert event customers into repeat online buyers.
Trust signals up front
Secure card payment, same-day dispatch on orders by 5pm, easy 14-day returns and free UK delivery over £20 - answered before anyone asks.
The result
A stall that never packs up. Event customers become repeat online customers, the range is always in reach, and the shop carries its own weight - which is exactly what e-commerce should do for a small retailer. The site is designed, hosted and looked after by us, with the online shop as an add-on to the standard monthly package.
If you run a shop - on a parade, in a market, or from your spare room - this is what we'd build for you too. See our web design for Blackpool shops and retailers page, or get in touch.
